Antique Radio

Hallicrafters Company began manufacturing the SX-9 Super Skyrider  in 1936.   It sold for $90.

I purchased this radio on EBAY in February, 2015.  It works perfectly! 

I found this identical model under the Christmas tree when I was 12 years old.  It was the best gift ever!  My father's friend gave it when he heard I was interested in radio.  This nice man committed suicide a few weeks later.

I used the radio for many years.  Eventually, I got a ham license and graduated to modern equipment.
